I have been researching maternity fashions. As we all know dressing your baby bump is not exactly high fashion. I am looking to the celebs to see what they have been dressing their bumps in.
We all know Kate Middleton looked fantastic through out her pregnancy. I know she got a lot of her maternity wear from Searphine http://www.seraphinematernity.com/ This is where I have been looking to buy some of my maternity purchases.
Another stylish mom is Jessica Alba. Jessica is also a fan of Seraphine. I love the layered looks that she has going on.
Halle Berry has been looking absolutely stunning in her 2nd pregnancy. Halle is also know to shop at Seraphine as well as Isabella Oliver http://www.isabellaoliver.com/uk/shop/be-inspired/new-arrivals
Where have you found some stylish maternity wear?
Well week 12 was an eventful one! We had our 12 week ultrasound done and decided to let our friends and family that did not know yet in on the secret via Facebook.
Our week 12 ultrasound went really well and little peanut is coming along nicely. I am continuing my daily workouts and sometimes even hit the gym twice. If I go twice I will only do no more than 30 minutes at a time. Otherwise I will not have the stamina to continue. Here is a look at some of the workouts from last week:
Chest/Back and Cardio Day : http://wp.me/p3wWp1-1Os
Bosu Ball Leg Day: http://wp.me/p3wWp1-1MB
Upper Body Strength Training: http://wp.me/p3wWp1-1KF
Food has not been an issue lately. I have even started to integrate chicken back in to my diet. The last few weeks the thought of chicken would make me nauseous. Slowly I am starting to like it again. I have not experienced many cravings at all. I was expecting to have the types of cravings that you read about. The kinds of cravings that drive you to eat certain things all the time. Well that has not happened, yet anyways. I have been trying to eat healthy and get as much fruits and vegetables into my diet as I can.
If you are pregnant are you having any cravings or did you when you were pregnant??
Let’s talk about week 9. I have nothing to really complain about, at this point I am feeling fantastic. The nausea has disappeared completely, I think some of it had to due with the cup of coffee I was still drinking in the morning. I cut that out for now and I am feeling really good. I do treat myself to a decaf latte in the afternoon though. Pumpkin Spice Lattes are back! I could never resist one of those. Has anyone tried Starbucks Chocolate Chai Latte? I know off topic but I was in Starbucks yesterday and tried to order one. The barista told me that it is gross and do not order it, so I didn’t. I am still curious though. I am still craving sushi like crazy but I think it is more because I know I can not have it! Other than sushi the craving have subsided and have be replaced by food aversions. All of a sudden the thought of eating chicken is a complete turn off. This is a problem since we eat chicken a few times a week! It has been difficult coming up with different options and still keeping Jon happy. I am hoping that this goes away shortly.
Fitness wise I have been switching up my routines quite a bit. Here are some of the workouts I have been doing this past week:
Indoor Run Training http://wp.me/p3wWp1-1GR
Upper Body Circuit Training: http://wp.me/p3wWp1-1F4
Lower Body CIrcuit Training: http://wp.me/p3wWp1-1Em
Run Training: http://wp.me/p3wWp1-1E6
I have not had an issue working out indoors. We were doing the Susan G Komen “Race for the Cure” 5K this past weekend but I have found that I have had a lot of problems with running outdoors. For some reason outside I really get short of breath but have no problem in the gym. We ended up walking for the 5K instead, it was a gorgeous day to spend in Central Park.
Fashion wise, I am still not in the market for new clothes yet. I am really starting to look forward to finding some cute maternity clothes though! I hope they exist 🙂
Another week down! I have been feeling pretty fantastic. The nausea is gone and I am back to eating anything my heart desires. My workouts have been going great, we are training for the Susan G Komen “Race for the Cure”. The run/walk is going to be this Sunday at Central Park. Here is the training schedule we were working off of this past week : http://wp.me/p3wWp1-1D2 I have been able to keep up my daily workouts, this makes me insanely happy. I was worried I would have to cut back and since my workouts are one of my favorite times of the day the idea of this made me sad.
Let’s talk about food. Since I have gotten rid of the morning sickness, I am able to eat and eat and eat. One of my favorite things to eat are still Chobani Flip Cups. This past week the Peach with pistachio and dark chocolate was my favorite!
As I had mentioned last week, I have been having crazy cravings for McDonalds. So much so I had a dream that Jon went to McDonalds without me and I stopped talking to him. Since I figured it is not very often that I have a McDonalds craving, I decided to just go for it. I dragged Jon there this past weekend, he hates McDonalds so this was him showing his support for my pregnancy cravings.
After thoroughly enjoying my Big Mac combo, I decided that it really was not worth it. I crushed the craving though and I am happy to not be dreaming about McDonalds anymore!
Fashion wise I am still wearing my regular clothes. I did make a purchase this week though. I decided that I would purchase some larger active wear because I know that I am going to need it at some point. I got a pair of Bally Active Wear pants on groupon for $17.99. I love getting new pants for the gym, I am excited to receive them!
Stay tuned for what this week has in store for me!
